Arrival
Most guests fly into Phuket International Airport, on the north of the island. The west coast is Patong, Karon, Kata, and Kamala. The south is Rawai and Nai Harn, close to several boat piers.
Use the first evening for the hotel. Boat trips leave in the morning, so keep the first island day for the next morning.
On the island
A trip in Phuket is one full day with a clear plan. Sea days go to Phi Phi, James Bond Island, or Coral Island. Land days stay on the island for Old Town, Promthep Cape, the Big Buddha, and Wat Chalong.
A short holiday fits one sea day and one land day. A longer stay can add a private longtail, a jet ski morning, or an evening show.
Recommendations
Ask for a tour recommendation in Phuket and start with the day, not a long menu. Phi Phi is the full day on the water. James Bond Island is the limestone bay. Coral Island is the shorter snorkel. Old Town is the day without a boat.
